Clearing the floor for the truly late night house vibe, the “Extended Original” mix of course takes all of the song’s elements. Swirling synths, funky wah guitar and the soulful sound of the Hammond organ. Flowing to “Drifting beats” is a dub beat with a laidback dubbed-out deep space groove, tape-delayed vocals, dreamy reverbs and reggae bits.
On the flip side, The “Drifter Dub” takes a real hold, as the layers become deeper the chords develop lush and evocative melodies, and the playful trumpet solos add an organic edge. Then the pharmacist is smoothly closing with “Drifting Atmosphere” in a dream state, as a smoothly drifting synth showdown without a drum work.
