Matthew Dear’s Music Stolen - Mid Set !

DJ’s have suffered from theft of their music for ages - but it was taken to a sad new level last Friday when someone actually disconnected and stole Matthew Dear’s external harddrive, in the middle of his set !!

The now Brooklyn based DJ and producer was playing at ‘Bunker’ at the Galapagos Art Space in Williamsburg when everything ground to a halt, and he got a message on his computer saying that his hard disk was unplugged. Looking around it was clearly missing, along with all the music and the show could not go on. Management did announce what had happened, but no one had seen the incident occur. Although the drive was a back up, it did contain many unreleased edits and works in progress, leaving the Spectral DJ not only upset by the theft but concerned about the very special music.

We imagine that who ever did this would have had to be a Matthew Dear fan, this most probably wasnt a opportunistic crime. No matter what, who ever you are - You are scum.
